Misinformation is an under-statement.
Amen amen amen!
Councilman Gibson is the level headed and informed one in this article. Unfortunately the neighborhood folks are reacting to the Franklin Township and Monrovia proposals. They are 100% different and opposite of this proposed development. Too bad, this could have been the stimulus to begin rebuilding that part of town and neighborhood without new environmental or utility concerns.
Given that data centers don’t lead to local jobs, exactly how is that going to work?
Martindale-Brightwood needs neighborhood assets, not corporate data centers. They need housing, places to walk to, grocery stores, etc. They don’t need a dead box in their neighborhood that produces nothing for them.
