  1. I’m not a lawyer, but the 14th Amendment’s language stating that the Census must count “the whole number of persons in each state” seems 100% crystal clear. It says persons, not citizens, not men, not adults, not white people. Persons. If the Supreme Court finds some twisted way to rule that there are human beings out there who are not legally persons, we are in trouble.

    1. It’s been pretty clear that the current Republican Party thinks poorly of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.

      I mean, it’s clear in the 14th Amendment that people who attempt to overthrow the United States government are ineligible to hold elected office. And how that that hold up with the packed Supreme Court?
