  1. Seems like sufficient capital exists to create a reservoir in Boone County’s own boundaries to supply the LEAP project’s water needs.

  2. Mayor Matt Gentry’s daddy is MIKE GENTRY, who “was the architect of the effort by Republicans to take back the Indiana Statehouse after years of Democrat rule” according to his bio, formerly on his website. Which is why MITCH DANIELS connived with his acolyte ERIC HOLCOMB to site this BOONE-doggle next to Lebanon, despite the fact that the town is ludicrously short of water supply for any new development whatsoever. It’s the most heinous good ol’ boy deal in Hoosier history, and Eli Lilly has been backing this blatant public corruption from the get-go. Everything about Lilly’s involvement with Lebanon violates its corporate “responsibility” commitments, as published on THEIR website. Why are they doing that? Because they can, and because they were slathered with public subsidies to begin with.

    1. When you can toss $4.5B at a project does it really matter? Time to start planning for mitigation and water conservation efforts.

  3. Great news for the Indianapolis area.

For the naysayers, remember Lilly could have went else where. Any state would give what ever it takes in
    incentives for this project.
