Well no shit
The migrants are the only reason why Marion County is still growing in population. Other wise the population would be taking a nose dive. Marion county would hollow out in many areas without the migrants.
The migrants are revitalizing many neighborhoods on the west side and north west side of Indianapolis. In fact that is what is driving the rebirth of Lafayette Square.
They are also the reason why IPS still has a pulse.
In short, large urban counties in the industrial Midwest NEED the migrants.
The folks moving to Indianapolis and its suburbs are the people fleeing the rural counties of Indiana.
Now ask why we let the folks in rural areas whose polices chase away their own residents… come to the Statehouse and implement those same unpopular ideas across the state, or down the throats of the urban areas where people want to live.
Joe B.
Great point!
Many of the new residents coming to Indianapolis ( especially the suburbs now are from the smaller rural counties of the state ).
Can’t believe I forgot to mention that also.
