What the F is wrong w Hogset? Are there any businesses or organizations left in Indy? Seems every week since he’s been in office IBJ announces another loss of a good corporate citizen to suburbia. Wake up, Joe!!!
Without knowing all the details, sounds like this could have been something impossible to pull off in downtown Indy. It’s not just a HQ but a major training facility with far greater real estate requirements. Also sounds like it nearly left Indiana due to lack of interest by the state. This may be an unpopular opinion in the IBJ comment forums, but is possible that not everything is Joe Hogsett’s fault.
There is lots of space in downtown Indy; if they can make room for a new soccer stadium they could have made room for this. Seems multiple layers of government almost let this one get away.
Steve D. – Fair point, thank you. I may have jumped the gun on this response. However, as a long time advocate for the City it’s a bit disheartening to read the litany of companies disinvesting at a time when the heart of the City has such potential. Just seems the apparatus that should be aggressively retaining and attracting good jobs, a strong tax base, density and energy to the core is, well, underperforming.
My question is, “What’s wrong with the Braun Admin”? You were willing to let this walk? wtf,man!
