Letter: Trump gets big things done

Some Dems will vote for Trump. Some Republicans will vote for Biden. All good. Mutz and Newman gave us their version of PPP: “predetermined political pap.” They also offered a clear picture of establishment thinking and attitude towards that darn Outsider of a President. Some of their statements, especially Newman’s, were hyperbolic and frankly absurd. Here’s the problem: Primarily because of their animus towards the president, they conveniently and blindly ignore all of the Trump administration’s achievements and actions—many great things not ever done before—which are good for Americans and good for America. Let’s name a few.

Booming economy. Most jobs ever. Lower taxes, higher wages. Child-care help and expanded Family Leave. Promoting school choice. Originalist Supreme Court appointees. Enterprise zones. Deregulation. Energy independence. Seriously tackling opioid addiction and drug flow. Curbing illegal immigration. Backs law and order. Great trade deals. Stands up against China bullying and cheating. Rebuilt military. Bringing troops home. Destroyed ISIS. Even peace deals in the Middle East. Go figure.

Trump has never been beholden to special interests, and he loves America and all Americans. Say what you want, but this non-politician president gets big things done. Unless you prefer the blah-blah-blah, do-nothing career politician types. Like Joe Biden.

  1. Racism, division, conspiracy theories, mass shootings, misinformation, etc. They’ve all been on the rise during this administration, and all are detrimental to society long term. My IRA account has gone up hundreds of percentage points during this administration. I’ve made a ton of money. I’m not about to put my personal wealth over the future of this country. Let’s not forget what the author failed to point out, we’re handling the global pandemic worse than any industrialized country. There’s a fact. People need to stop defending the inexcusable behaviors of a want to be dictator.
