The entire coal industry employs fewer people than Broadway Theatre. It’s dead. Stop beating it. This is a huge waste of time, money, and manpower.
A colossally bad idea for so many reasons.
So short-sighted because no one is building a new coal plant without government guarantees. Also, Burgum sure did change his tune – he was a wind advocate as ND governor and now opposes renewables.
51% of North Dakota’s electricity comes from wind and solar! FIFTY-ONE PERCENT! They’re genuinely one of the great clean energy economy success stories but Burgum is going to bend the knee. I used to be a big fan of him because he was a classic conservative: Be a good steward of the land, promote choice and availability in housing stock, reduce suburban sprawl, preserve public lands, etc. He’s now just selling out. “Disappointed” doesn’t quite do how I feel justice.
Cough, baby, cough (PM2.5 enters the room)
Metro Indy is dangerously close to being an air quality non-attainment area. I can promise everyone that this is something we SUPER DUPER do not want!
Just another ill-fated attempt by Trump and his Maga brain followers to resist progress.
