I was amused to read in IBJ’s Forefront that Jim Shella has attributed to Donald Trump the legacy of outright lying as a political tool [“Trump doesn’t deserve credit for COVID vaccine,” Dec. 11]. Trump’s many things, but he wasn’t first in this regard. His immediate predecessor wasn’t exactly a paragon of truth. Most famously, anyone recall, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”?
