Letter: Wage increase would benefit 48M people

In response to Abdul-Hakim Shabazz’s article headlined “Congress shouldn’t raise the minimum wage” [Forefront, March 12], he said 1.6 million workers would be impacted by a minimum wage increase to $15 per hour.

It would actually be 47.7 million workers who currently earn less than $15 an hour and would be impacted.
