The biggest surprise is that this is a story at all. Once one starts looking around, and not at their computers and social media, there’s a big real world out here and helicopters fly around almost every day.
Military helicopters most certainly do NOT fly around the urban core of Indianapolis for long periods of time. This was a unique situation by any measure. And the abuse of power by the Chief Executive using the Guard as a pawn, draws even more questions.

Seven of us talked at a downtown outdoor veranda tonight about how we saw military helicopters today flying around above us today, which is unusual. One said they were Blackhawks. I said, doubtfully, “A gunship?”
Now, as I’m writing this comment, I am checking myself and realizing it was a Blackhawk we saw. I was thinking about an Apache.
