The biggest surprise is that this is a story at all. Once one starts looking around, and not at their computers and social media, there’s a big real world out here and helicopters fly around almost every day.
Military helicopters most certainly do NOT fly around the urban core of Indianapolis for long periods of time. This was a unique situation by any measure. And the abuse of power by the Chief Executive using the Guard as a pawn, draws even more questions.
Agreed.
Another TDS person.
Agree with Amy T.
You have no clue what you are talking about. Helicopters fly around indianapolis all the time.
More than you think. I’ve seen them quite a few times. Same mini hysteria was created when the Guard, FBI and police agencies did training near old St Francis Hospital. Everyone is looking for a conspiracy
Seven of us talked at a downtown outdoor veranda tonight about how we saw military helicopters today flying around above us today, which is unusual. One said they were Blackhawks. I said, doubtfully, “A gunship?”
Now, as I’m writing this comment, I am checking myself and realizing it was a Blackhawk we saw. I was thinking about an Apache.
Anyway, kudos to IBJ for covering this. You answered a question, and I will share this story with the group. Appreciate you guys covering local news of interest.
