You-review-it Monday: Penrod and lots more

It was great to see so many IBJ readers while I was passing out IBJ A&E Season Preview guides at Penrod. (What? You didn't get one? Come to the free IBJ A&E Season Preview event on Sept. 19.)

But that was just part of a very busy weekend that included the opening of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, "Gypsy" at Actors Theatre of Indiana, and the annual "Evening with the Stars" benefit for the Indianapolis City Ballet. (More on "Hyde" and "Gypsy" soon. Thoughts on "Evening with the Stars can be found here.) Plus there was First Friday and "Chicago" at Beef & Boards.

What about you? Did you get out to a late-summer concert? Sample the on-stage entertainment at Penrod? Catch "A Chorus Line" at Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre?

What did you see, hear or do this weekend? (And don't tell me you stayed inside and watched TV.)
