Sarah Palin: A Colts fan?

PalinFormer U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is apparently an Indianapolis Colts fan. At least it appears that way in the latest edition of Esquire magazine. In a story primarily about her husband, Todd, Sarah Palin is photographed holding her youngest son, Trig, wearing an Indianapolis Colts t-shirt.

The cutline of the photo taken by Nathaniel Welch said the photo was taken at the Palin’s Alaska home on Super Bowl Sunday. Apparently no one told Palin the Colts were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by the San Diego Chargers. Or maybe she’s such a big Colts fan, she doesn’t care. In the photo, Palin appears to be preoccupied playing the board game Scrabble.

Palin’s only known link to central Indiana is a trip to Noblesville during a campaign visit in October. No word from the Colts yet on whether the team—or team officials—have any ties to the Republican Alaska governor.
