Mobile lab maker Biologics to create 50 jobs in Brownsburg

A startup that makes mobile laboratory and manufacturing facilities will locate its headquarters, design and manufacturing
operations in Brownsburg, state economic development officials announced Thursday evening, creating at least 50 jobs by 2013.

Biologics LLC designs and builds modular units for early-stage biotechnology firms and university research labs to
lease while they ramp up full-scale manufacturing.  The company began operations in September 2009.

Now based
in Indianapolis, the company plans to invest $14.6 million in machinery and equipment and will lease 7,500 square feet in
the Brownsburg Motorsports Park before building its own manufacturing facility in 2011.

Biologics expects to begin
hiring in March.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Biologics up to $550,000 in performance-based tax
credits to support the new jobs.  Hendricks County and the town of Brownsburg will consider additional property tax abatements
at the request of the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership.
