Indiana lawmakers gave approval to 12 percent of 2013 bills

Measures filed in the Indiana General Assembly this year faced about 1-in-8 odds of making their way to the governor's desk.

About 12 percent of the bills filed by lawmakers were approved by both the House and Senate during this year's session, the Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne reported.

Lawmakers filed 1,259 bills this year and gave final approval to 148 of those measures. Pence signed almost all of those bills and vetoed only three measures.
