Rainey, a Florida State University graduate, announced last week that she would be leaving WXIN-TV Channel 59 and WTTV-TV Channel 4 for a gig at WTVT-TV Channel 13, the Fox affiliate in Tampa.

Her last day in Indianapolis was Feb. 26.

“I have some bittersweet news,” the Florida native said on Facebook. “I am sad to be leaving Indianapolis, but I am headed home to Tampa!”

During her 10-year career, Rainey also worked at TV stations in in Missoula, Montana; Hastings, Nebraska; Huntington, West Virginia; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In Indianapolis, Rainey typically handled weekend duties but frequently filled in on other newscasts throughout the week.
