The kids didn’t waste much time liquidating this part of his estate! Seems like a good deal for $12 million!
Should they have waited?
Murray +1
Steve, $12M is a tint portion of his estate valued at $4 billion or so. The daughters all have their own homes and no one else live there, so it’s eating up real estate taxes, maintenance, and other costs.
Beautiful estate and pricing not far off for that level of property…
JCB – he probably had triple that amount in the property. Problem is anyone that can afford $50M around here would want to tailor it to their liking.
Let’s hope Irsay’s collection of rare music instruments and other artifacts remains in Indianapolis. A museum adjacent to Lucas Oil Stadium would be the perfect location to display The Jim Irsay Collection.
Brent +1
Can’t imagine the outcry over an auction if they make that move, even though it’s not up to us what they do with their property. I can see a collector buying it in bulk especially if they say they will preserve the intent of showcasing it to the public. One person/ NFP might buy all the guitars, etc., one for the historical documents, one for the sports paraphernalia, etc. Or…. Jim may have already directed what was to happen with it since he cared a great deal about it.
An Irsay museum is really what should have went into the Old City Hall.
Steve Decatur and his co-agent Jan Sutton are absolute pros and will market and represent Jim Irsay’s estate with integrity in the best interest of all parties.
