Regardless of how one may feel regarding illegal immigration – it is sad when we are branding and advertising the notion of locking people up. I’m all for straightening out the border and forcing people to utilize proper channels, but spending money, time and talent toward a campaign? We have unhomed people that should be addressed instead. Are we giving up on our humanity?
The current administration does not know what “humanity” means.

This entire thing sickens me. Making “cute” names about detention facilities is just another example of how truly unkind and hateful this Administration is. But then, nothing they do surprises me….
+1
I could see them having these “cute” names among themselves. But to be actively promoting them, and proudly so, is a level of immaturity rarely seen in Government.
“Unkind”–LOL. Kindness is vastly overrated, when pitted against “dishonest”.
Punishing criminals and cheaters is unkind too, John. Oh well.
Criminals? Was the Purdue student a criminal? Do you actually support kidnapping people as they leave their immigration hearings as they try to honestly follow the rules? ICE is clearly not focused on criminals no matter what they might say.
It goes with the theme of this administration to degrade and denegrate anyon or any group this administration wishes to show hate and disdain for.
No comment from the Speedway gas station conveince store chain yet about TRUMP besmirching their brand name ?
Maybe because they didn’t show a picture of a Speedway gas station but they did show a picture of an Indycar.
A childish approach to a serious problem reflects the incompetence of those in charge.
It’s just a name for Pete’s sake. People need to get over such trivial matters. Biden let millions of people in our country illegally. They can leave and get paid $1,000 to leave and re-enter legally or chose the consequence of deportation. Try to enter any other country illegally and see what happens.
Obama deported 5.3 million during his two terms and no one said a word! He was dubbed the “Deporter-in-chief” as he surpassed deportations under Trump’s first term.
The ignorance of the Biden administration has been a disgrace to our country. Time to roll back the pages of the past 4 years.
Obama did depart. But, there was no gleefulness, high fives or celebration over how it was done. There is a real “bro” mentality to what is happening today and when we celebrate this cruelty (remember the children in cages), we lose our humanity.
Step away from your tv and Fox News.
So do we measure legality based on “gleefulness” of execution of the law? There’s always so much backpedaling for Saint Barry, who, at least when judged by his platform, was well aligned with public sentiment on illegal immigration for most of his two terms.
When the Obama admin conceived of cages for illegal kids, I’m sure it wasn’t initiated gleefully…so I guess it gets a pass. Does FDR get a pass because his Japanese internment camps were implemented with regret?
The Hillary/Barack debates of 2008 put both of them to the right of the current administration on illegal immigration. You can talk all you want but no amount of media control and dishonest messaging will override the cultural will against illegals being here. If anything, we’re now much less sympathetic to illegals and more willing to enact draconian punishments on them.
The pearl clutching here is hilarious, since the status quo of this party would have been perfectly fine with this as recently as the early 2010s. Even too-left-for-the-Democrats Bernie Sanders was honest enough back then (BACK THEN) to recognize how awful illegal immigration is for the working class. But that is no longer the Democrat party’s base, and the scuzzy neo-con wing looks disdainfully on what it sees as “peasants” much the same way it did 50 years ago, when it spurned the African-American vote despite how awful the Dixiecrats were treating them. Rinse and repeat.
Does anyone look at ICE/Border Patrol’s official social media pages? This is nothing compared to how absolutely ghastly their regular posts are.
Anyway, great news out of the state of Indiana. Let’s tap the “My street has potholes in it” sign again!
This is just stupid.
IT all started with Alligator abuse. Don’t forget it!
