  1. The only reason Trump is pushing for imports of beef from Argentina is because he has worked out a deal to get a cut of the deal. It is layered in such a way it would not trace back to any of his entities, but he has figured it out and will make millions off the deal.

  2. The guy whose steak business failed (among other failed businesses) is going to tell ranchers they don’t understand their markets as well as he does.

  3. Its a short term issue because what Trump is really trying to do is “beef up” Melei’s chances in the upcoming legislative elections. If Melei’s party loses, this and the bail out will be off the table. If Melei succeeds, then he and his country are vassals of King Trump, forever indebted (literally and figuratively) not to the US, but to Trump.
