The Indiana State Department of Health on Monday reported 150 new COVID-19 cases, marking the 19th straight daily report with fewer than 500 cases.

The department reported four new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative death tally to 13,379.

The state said more than 2.74 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.76 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.

Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 rose from 440 on Saturday to 445 on Sunday. Hospitalizations are down from a recent high of 1,019 on May 4. The pandemic-high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

Cumulative positivity rate unique individuals: 21.1%

Seven-day positivity rate unique individuals: 5.8%**

Cumulative positivity rate all tests: 8.5%

Seven-day positivity rate all tests: 2.4%**

** The health department reports the 7-day positivity rates with a six-day lag to allow time for more comprehensive results.

First dose administered: 2,760,925 (daily increase of 6,428)

Fully vaccinated: 2,745,079 (daily increase of 10,638)

Indiana intensive care unit usage

Available ICU beds: 36.8%

ICU beds in use by COVID-19 patients: 4.1%

Global deaths: 3,868,089

*New cases, deaths and tests are previously unreported cases, deaths and tests submitted to the Indiana State Health Department in the 24 hours through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. The cases and testing categories typically contain numerous duplicates—as many as 20% or more—that are later eliminated from the cumulative totals.

  1. Took a week longer than anticipated, but today’s positivity rate was 7.09%. Glad we got down to the single digits. Last year around this time we were seeing our lowest positivity rates for the year. We hovered mostly in the single digits until the end of September. Let’s hope for another summer where it’s relatively safe to be out and about.
