  1. That’s 3x funny considering how many times lib communist socialist dems refused to vote to reopen. Wait they never did vote to reopen. Except for a few brave souls.

  2. Like it or not, the recent publishing of the research and new data, by Carney and Marlow, seems to change how our pundit experts at the Fed, finances, and banks, should be
Looking at the rates, inflation, tariffs and policies, in a new and modern way, not the redundant and accepted past ways.

    1. Here’s the thing about economics, Kevin: markets work on predictability and stability of the system. In other words, “redundant and accepted past ways”. As we’ve seen with the TACO Tariffs, pulling the rug out from under the system has a tendency to upset the apple cart that is sitting on the rug.

Further, the inflation of the post-pandemic period was most likely caused by interest rates that were too low coupled with massive deficit spending by the Federal Government. And since that deficit spending has accelerated since the beginning of this year, lowering rates now would just be an invitation for inflation to come roaring back.

    2. Plus, Carney is a lawyer from Penn, not an economist from Wharton. He practiced corporate law at firms such as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Latham & Watkins where he primarily represented banks, hedge funds and private equity firms. He is now an “economics and finance” editor for news websites.
