Pickle Indy will open its third indoor pickleball club in the Indianapolis-area next year, the company announced Friday.
The Picklr is expected to open next spring at 1255 Roosevelt Ave., just north of the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and 10th Street. The company has also opened on East 82nd Street in Indianapolis and on Cumberland Pointe Boulevard in Noblesville within the last year.
The new 32,000-square-foot, 12-court club will also feature a pro shop and two private event spaces, the company said. They also plan to host tournaments, youth academies, free open play and unlimited league play.
Members will be able to access the club from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
“After opening our Keystone Crossing and Noblesville clubs, we believe more than ever that The Picklr offers players across all levels and age groups a top-notch indoor pickleball experience,” Dave Gilreath and Ron Brock, managing partners of Pickle Indy, said in a joint written statement.
The club will be situated in the North Mass District, a redevelopment by Indianapolis-based Third Street Ventures anchored in a space that was once home to the U.S. Corrugated Fiber Box Company building.
“Our next adaptive reuse development is focused on transforming the vacant, former International Paper manufacturing facility,” Antone Najem, founder of Third Street Ventures,” said in a written statement. “We are pleased that The Picklr will be joining us in the North Mass District to anchor The International development.”
Pickle Indy, founded by Gilreath and Brock, manages the Indianapolis-area locations and plans to open as many as six total locations of The Picklr across central Indiana. Although the three remaining club locations are yet to be solidified, the pair are exploring potential properties in Avon, Greenwood and Zionsville, the company said.
Pickle Indy also owns The Picklr franchise locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and Fort Myers and Naples, Florida.
The Picklr is a Utah-based network of pickleball clubs, with more than 375 locations nationwide.
