Hmmm it’s almost as if this entire scheme is just a sham to pay the tuition for already wealthy individuals to send THEIR children to the private institutions that they already go to but on the backs of the poor and underprivileged
They aren’t missing anything. Voucher-accepting schools are no better than public schools. The only truly private schools accept nothing from the state; strings are always attached.
The system was not really ever about giving Hoosiers a school choice. It was about destroying public education in the states urban areas so that private companies could swoop in a make millions of dollars all while evading the state educational requirements so that obedient pliable MAGA wannabees are churned out.
This report just points out the real losers, where there is no choice and state education dollars are shrinking, while the people that lobbied so hard for this, despite all evidence to the contrary, are lining their pockets.
