    1. When do the leaders of Russia, N Korea, and Hungary leave office due to losing elections and/or term limits? Read up on the accounts of defectors who actually experienced those countries. You won’t find them talking about the firing of a government data official. Oh the horror!!

You also forgot to compare Trump to Hitler
      Do better Democrats

    1. Were the good May June Numbers actions of the deep state or were the correction of the May June numbers a deep state move?

This was most likely the result of the DOGE cuts gutting the departments and having to clean up the mess later. The initial May June number were mostly likely the result of a Trump induced “shallow state”. Maybe all of this tax “wasting” government employees really were doing something useful?

  1. Are there ANY Republicans left who are still capable of recognizing this action for the authoritarian, dangerous, economically reckless red flag that it clearly is? Business leaders? Sen. Young? Anyone? We’re very quickly sliding into banana republic territory, and the once-proud party of business is cheering our downfall.

    1. And we all know that facts have a liberal bias. So yes, killing the messenger makes sense to TACO Trump and his supporters.

  2. DOGE guts the Department of Commerce. (sarcasm). I’m sure that couldn’t have caused any problems!! Let’s boost confidence that we still have a functional Bureau of Labor Statistics by firing the boss!

I for one, was really really surprised that May and June job numbers were are strong as they were first reported. Things just didn’t feel as rosy as the numbers made it look and with TACO Trump constantly creating chaos, it was hard to see how things were still so good. Unlike the Epstein case, I guess you can’t cover up bad news forever.

I guess another good strategy to keep the Federal Reserve in the dark is to make
sure those same DOGE cuts don’t give us good inflation numbers.

    Are we “Winning” yet?!?

    1. The jobs numbers are further evidence that Trump has always been unfit for office because it’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell if he’s trying to tank the American economy on purpose or because he’s invigorated by the challenge of ruining an entire country while using his own position to line his own pockets. He makes every other predecessor or Congressman look like amateurs when it comes to grift.

Trump got handed a good economy on a silver platter. All he had to do was keep playing golf and claim how great things now were with him in charge and we all would have been better off, and none of his supporters would have been any wiser. But no, he has to prove his value as a person and actually make decisions.

Why exactly Congress sits there when they could end this tariff nonsense in a heartbeat is beyond me.

    2. If only DOGE hadn’t gutted the department and we could have gotten realistic and accurate numbers on a timely basis. Then yes, it might be time to talk about a rate cut, but it shouldn’t happen without facts to back it up and the last meeting happened BEFORE this jobs report.

  3. Trump continues show why he is a laughing stock of a president and a person. His standard answers for everything he does not like or disagrees with are; “rigged” and “fake”, just like he is an absolute fake and flake.

  4. Every CEO and business leader in America—not to mention every Republican—should be loudly and publicly denouncing Trump for firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics for reporting the truth. Let us be clear, if they are not doing so they are accomplices to dishonesty and the destruction of America and all it stands for. It is that simple.

  5. “He makes every other predecessor or Congressman look like amateurs when it comes to grift” – Mentioned above. It’s hard to disagree.

  6. There are a lot of ways to look at numbers and statistics but what’s critical is to look at them in a consistent manner over time so that year to year comparisons can be made. Its those comparisons and not the absolute numbers that matter the most. Trump has opened the door for every politician to change the metrics in their favor and the public will never know what is going on – which is exactly what he wants, an uninformed voter base that makes decisions purely on personality and self promotion and not actual performance.

  7. George Orwell predicted quite accurately what is happening in Amerika today. Truth is an early casualty in a country heading into totalitarianism. The question is how and when does the country confront and remove the new American fascist dictator.

  8. Going forward, we can no longer have any trust in the stats. It will be much like China, which has often had unbelievably rosy figures.

The only thing I’m surprised about is that people are surprised. We knew this would happen.

  9. Trump is an idiot and a petulant child. I would be interested to know what the real numbers are, and why the revisions
Reading the comments from Nate’s Flock comparing the firing of a government worker to every vile, authoritarian, genocidal regime they can think of is hilarious. This is the same group that appoints VPs and Supreme Court Justices based on race and skin color and most of the time they don’t even know how to determine race.

Pick your poison, I guess, but spare me the hysteria over a government employee getting fired

    1. Elderly Woman Keeps Mind Active Justifying Trump’s Actions

“Stressing the importance of regularly performing mental gymnastics to prevent cognitive decline, local 80-year-old Edna Connolly confirmed Thursday that she keeps her mind active by justifying President Donald Trump’s actions. “I try to break out of my routine and engage my mind by rationalizing what the president is doing, even when it’s completely against the promises he made to voters,” said Connolly, explaining that she spends at least 30 minutes a day improving her mental faculties and problem solving skills by making excuses for Trump’s constant attacks on civil liberties. “I’m developing new neural pathways each time I shrug off Trump’s clear violations of the Constitution and his total contempt for our system of checks and balances. You know, I have some friends who didn’t spend time rationalizing Trump’s actions, and they ended up in nursing homes.” At press time, Connolly was reportedly stimulating her creativity by justifying the president’s decision to reverse course on releasing the Epstein files.”

  10. Well with President Trump’s actions, that lady will stay sharp as a tack as he continues to flaunt the law, the U.S. system of government and anything else he feels self justified to do. Oops, be careful what you post as he will be wanting to deport you even though you are a U.S. citizen. That is just what this P.O.S. Congress and the Supreme Court are allowing. So much for the guardrails placed by the constitution, they are only as good as those who are meant to enforce them and they are cowering in the corners.
