With four months left in 2019, IBJ enters our busiest time of the year for events. Just this week, IBJ partnered with TechPoint to present our CTO of the Year/Tech 25–Connecting the Best of Tech breakfast and event. Be sure to read the special supplement in this issue featuring profiles of all 37 of our outstanding honorees.

Business owners, key executives and community leaders come together at IBJ events to network, hear from thought leaders in their fields, and recognize the businesses and people who benefit our community.

Opportunities are still available this year to attend an IBJ event. Registration for all events starts at 7:30 a.m., with a breakfast/presentation start time of 8 a.m.—with one special exception, our upcoming mayoral debate. Here’s the lineup:

The first mayoral debate at HobNob 2019, featuring Democrat Joe Hogsett and Republican Jim Merritt, in partnership with the Indy Chamber, Aug. 29, at the Crowne Plaza, starting at 5:30 p.m. Don’t miss this one! Moderating will be IBJ city government reporter Hayleigh Colombo.

Hunger and Health–Time for Creative Intervention, presented in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Sept. 19, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Moderated by IBJ Managing Editor Lesley Weidenbener, this event convenes bright minds and dedicated community leaders to discuss the urgency of hunger and related health issues.

Defense in Indiana, presented in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Nov. 8, at the JW Marriott. Indiana’s defense and national security industries are not only helping keep America safe in the 21st century, they’re also strengthening our national economy with ground-breaking technologies that are providing the jobs of tomorrow. Join a robust discussion about Indiana’s critical role in our nation’s defense and security.

Economic Forecast 2020, presented in partnership with Fifth Third Bank, Nov. 15, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. This event convenes Indiana’s CEOs, other C-suite executives, community leaders and business professionals on how companies should engage to ensure that our cities are looking beyond the short term and how companies can take an active role to make an impact on how we think and how we create cities of the future in Indiana.
