Bio

Fred Glass is the President/CEO of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. He has spent a career in various leadership roles where his values-based leadership and collaborative spirit have led to success.

Fred is a prominent Indianapolis attorney, most recently with Taft Law. Before joining Taft, Fred served as Vice President and Athletic Director for Indiana University from 2009 to 2020 where he led a cultural and physical rebuilding of the athletic program that led to academic, athletic, and fundraising successes.

His memoir, Making Your Own Luck: From a Skid Row Bar to Rebuilding Indiana University Athletics, is a powerful story focusing on personal empowerment and values-based leadership. Fred writes movingly about his father’s efforts to feed the hungry at his bar, including a young Fred and his family having holiday dinners at the bar with patrons who had nowhere else to go.

He and his wife Barbara live in Indianapolis and have four children and five grandchildren.

Bio

Virginia A. Caine, MD is the Director and Chief Medical Officer of the Marion County Public Health Department. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine Infectious Diseases Division. She served as a Past President for the American Public Health Association and was the 125th President of the National Medical Association. She received the Bio Crossroads "2017 August M. Watanabe Life Sciences Champion of the Year"
Award as the first Black and first woman to receive this award and the Indiana Governor's highest award, Sagamore of the Wabash award for service. In 2020, the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) named her as one of 40 Influential People of the past 40 years.

Dr. Caine works tirelessly to promote and advance public health through innovative programs and unprecedented collaborations. Her boundless energy, vision, and drive to serve people, especially disadvantaged areas, have led Dr. Caine to have her fingerprints on numerous projects.

Bio

Dr. Jasmine D. Gonzalvo, PharmD, MPH is the Chris and Theresa Dimos Director of the Center for Health Excellence, Quality, and Innovation and a Clinical Professor in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She graduated with her Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in May 2025. She is the Executive Director of the Patterson-McCallum-Mareta Charitable Pharmacy onsite at Gleaners Food Bank. She provides cardiovascular risk reduction medication management services for Eskenazi Health Pecar Health Center for a largely Spanish-speaking population in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has served on and chaired national Boards for diabetes organizations. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Diabetes Leadership Council and is the President of the Indiana Community Health Workers Association. She is active in advocacy efforts at the State and Federal levels, most recently having served on the National Clinical Care Commission charged with making recommendations to improve diabetes across federal programs. She has received a variety of awards highlighting her excellence in practice and teaching throughout her career.

Richard T. Gordon is the Director of Community Engagement at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. With extensive experience in community outreach, Richard excels at building meaningful partnerships and leading impactful collaborations that strengthen the community.

Richard earned a B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and an M.S. in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a proud father to two sons, Nicholas and Noah, and has been married to his wife, Kimberly Gordon, for over 20 years

Bio

As Director of Philanthropy, Ben leads efforts across Glick Philanthropies’ organizations and initiatives to maximize their impact in the community. He oversees day-to-day operations for grantmaking and evaluation, manages community relations, and directs the Basic Needs and Jewish Affairs grant portfolios. Ben joined Glick Philanthropies in 2017.
Ben is inspired by selfless people who go above and beyond to make the world a better place – which is why he finds carrying on the philanthropic legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick so fulfilling.
 
Beyond his role at Glick, Ben serves on the board of the Central Indiana Community Foundation and Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. and previously served on the Indianapolis Jewish Community Center board. He co-chaired Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana’s $30.5M comprehensive campaign and served on the advisory board for the Glick Eye Institute. He participated in cohort two of the Slingshot Fellowship, a program created to equip young Jewish philanthropists with the leadership skills, philanthropic tools, and network they need to deepen their impact on Jewish life. Ben was named to the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis’ inaugural 36 Under 36 list in 2022 and received the Frank-Larner Leadership Award from the Indianapolis JCC in 2024.
 
Ben earned a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI and a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and twin boys.

Bio

Milele Kennedy is the Executive Director of Gennesaret Free Clinics, where she leads efforts to expand access to free healthcare in low-access communities by co-locating services with food access partners such as food banks and pantries. Her work focuses on integrated care solutions that address both medical and nutritional needs and partnerships that improve health outcomes for underserved populations.
 
In addition to her leadership at Gennesaret, Milele serves as an advisor to organizations such as the Indianapolis Community Food Access Coalition, the Better Food Policy Fund, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and Partnership for a Healthier America, contributing to national work on food systems, health equity, and policy innovation.
 
In her spare time, Milele and her husband enjoy time with their five children, building garden beds for local urban farms, and supporting statewide affordable housing initiatives.
