Fallen officer escorted to morgue

At least 100 Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers escorted the body of fallen Patrolman David Moore from Wishard Hospital to the Marion County Coroner's Office early Thursday. The procession left Wishard at about 3:45 a.m. and traveled through downtown, passing police headquarters on the way. Moore, 29, was shot twice in the head Sunday during a traffic stop on the near-northeast side. He died Wednesday morning. Funeral arrangements are pending.
