  1. Great article Gary- children truly are a blessing. On top of that, if the U.S. is interested in remaining as the top Global Power, it all comes down to simple math- we must in the least replace ourselves, with the better scenario adding net +1-+3 children to continue the strength and vision the U.S. has afforded our global society.

  2. This is lovely, but I have to believe one of the primary reasons women don’t have more children is economic. There is a strong connection across all economies that show increasing per capita income with fewer children. As a society, we would have to evolve our measures of success and create a more supportive environment for the women we are asking to have more children. Government and corporate policies can make a difference, as can the attitude and actions of spouses, co-workers, partners, and bosses. As a wealthy society, we can do better.
