England native Wheldon, who started sixth, became just the 18th driver to win the race at least twice. He set a record by leading the race for only one lap, breaking the record of two laps by Joe Dawson in 1912. Rookie JR Hildebrand, who finished second after hitting the wall and losing his lead on the final turn, will get nearly $1.1 million.
