Officer, suspect die in shootout

Terre Haute police officer Brent Long and a suspect he was trying to arrest, Shaun M. Seeley, 33, both died in a shootout Monday. According to authorities, Long was serving a warrant for Seeley when Seeley opened fire. It's believed that Long returned fire after being mortally wounded. Long, a six-year veteran, leaves behind his wife, an 11-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son. A police dog also was shot in the incident and is being treated.
