The state on Sunday reported an increase in the cumulative number of cases of 917. That’s the second-highest daily increase since the beginning of the pandemic. The biggest increase was 949 on April 27—a number that included an outbreak of more than 400 cases in Cass County. Indiana has seen daily counts rise for six straight days and has reported more than 700 new cases for five straight days.
Cumulative testing in Indiana rose by 12,425 in Sunday’s report, the biggest increase since the beginning of the pandemic. The previous high was 12.395 on June 25.

The 917 positives are due to a large reporting spike – 12,425 tests. The percent that were positive – 7.38% – is one of the two smallest percentages over the past 2 weeks.

Several of my co-workers are commenting that they are being tested multiple times at the same facility. One women was re-tested 4 times. {all negative] The testing sites need to spend some time training the the testers.
