Human remains not missing student

Skeletal remains discovered in eastern Illinois are not those of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer, authorities said Wednesday morning. The remains were found in woods near Newton, Ill., on March 10. The town is more than 2 hours away from Bloomington. Bloomington police continue to investigate the disappearance of Spierer, who was last seen in the early morning hours of June 3, 2011, after a night out with friends.
