BrightPoint Inc., 7635 Interactive Way, Suite 200, Indianapolis 46278 (www.brightpoint.com), provides worldwide distribution and integrated logistics services to the wireless communications industry. The company announced July 2 that it had agreed to be acquired by California-based Ingram Micro for $650 million in cash and the assumption of $190 million in debt. For the first quarter of 2012, BrightPoint earned $2.64 million, or 4 cents per share, on revenue of $1.37 billion. In the same period a year earlier, BrightPoint earned $9.30 million, or 13 cents per share, on revenue of $1.11 billion. BrightPoint shares trade on NASDAQ under the ticker CELL.
