Subscribe NowTwo residents escaped a fire that heavily damaged their home on the southwest side of Indianapolis late Monday night. Firefighters were called to the blaze in the 3500 block of West Farnsworth Street about 11:15 p.m. A male resident was able to alert his sleeping wife in time for both of them to escape the fire. He suffered minor injuries. Fire officials say most of the occupants' possessions were ruined by the fire.
