  1. Cool… That money can be transformative. I have drive through Monon 16 a few time. Plus Fall Creek Place started with a slightly larger $4 million grant.

    1. The grocery project is especially needed as area is a vast food desert. Under a now-expired Federal grant, a grocery store was to have gone in at 38th + Illinois. Real loss that we didn’t bring that to fruition.

  2. I wish there was some investment in the infrastructure in my neighborhood. I’ve lived near 34th and Kessler in the Highwoods area behind Ritter a high School for 35 years. I’ve made many calls just to have Bonham Drive and Highwoods Drs re-saved and it has never happened. In 35 years!!!

    1. This area has been booming for 5 years. Home values have more than tripled and tons of homes have been restored from the studs out. Still room for improvement but rentals are on steady decline in this area. Infrastructure will support this, building property tax base for City.
