Here we go again with a fringe right-winger wanting the nomination. Is this the best we can expect? Her win would the country’s loss.

Michael Q. – Someone who has real-world experience covering a wide range of issues, and who will think critically about issues before deciding their positions would be great. This candidate’s only work experience has been with the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Community Alliance Promoting Education, New Hope Services, and as a trainer for Prevent Child Abuse Indiana. What problems has she solved? What chances has she taken with her life? As far as I can tell, she has never built a business or managed a significant number of people or managed a large budget in which she exposed herself to financial risk. But then again, as a rigid conservative her only interest is to (a) keep things the way they are or (b) revert to the past. I guess that’s easy enough that we don’t actually need people who go beyond the shrill rhetoric of ““stand up to the radical Left and the Biden agenda.” Oh, one more thing: does she agree with Trump that the 2020 election was “stolen” or that the riot on Capitol Hill on January 6th was simply people “exercising” their freedom of speech? It would be good to know that too.
LOL. Brent, that’s quite the manifesto coming from a guy who undoubtedly voted for a brain dead old man, who should be in a memory care unit.
So Chuck W. thinks President Biden “is a brain dead old man, who should be in a memory care unit”. That’s rich, especially considering that the defeated former President Trump this week in an interview on NPR said “I feel very comfortable have taken them (i.e., vaccinations). I’ve had absolutely no reverberations.” With that kind of mental acuity, no wonder he thinks he won the 2020 election lol.

I know nothing about Senator Houchin but from the way she’s initially described herself, I understand why Brent B. characterizes her as a “Fringe, right winger” and this is coming from someone who typically votes Republican. Instead of another “Fighter” who will “stand up to the radical left”, which seems like the cheap, easy, and lazy way to brand oneself on the Republican side today, can we find people who can lead with ideas, critical thinking, and problem-solving rather than outright insolence and obstructionism (maybe that person is Houchin and she needs a rebrand)? Both sides demonize each other as evil, untrustworthy, and self-serving, criticism unfortunately well-deserved for most of them, but shame on us for voting for all of these outlandish, fringe, cartoon-like representatives on the right and left. When will we start elevating smart, decent, civil people to represent us and actually work on the immense problems facing our country? The WWF-style way that our politics and political communication play out, full of hatred and bombast, is getting us nowhere. It’s destroyed the relevance and importance of what we all are — Citizens of the greatest, most opportunistic and generous country that has ever existed.
