    1. I must have missed where citizens elect the Fed Chair. The current one was first appointed by Trump

    2. This event was years in the making – low interest and easy borrowing for the last 10 years, supply chain issues that occurred during the pandemic, trillons of dollars in stimulus in 3 packages (two passed by the prior administration), tax increases in the form of tariffs implemented by the prior administration that still haven’t been removed.

Elections do have consequences but there is very little that either Joe Biden or Donald Trump could have done to stop this train. Joe Biden will take the fall, as Presidents take the good, the bad and the ugly even if it’s out of their control. As economy cycles and inevitably improves a future administration will claim to have fixed everything even though just like the fall, the improvement will be years in the making.

    3. Mark S. ~ So you acknowledge Biden got 81 million votes to legitimately defeat Trump? 45 won’t be happy with you. i was one of those 81 million, and I’m hear and happy with the outcome of the election and with Biden as president. And I am not alone…

    4. The article is about global markets…. and you assume the US presidential election is driving global markets on the day to day?

      Wow.
