We do not need military assault weapons on our streets where mentally ill young men (they are all sick young men-no women- who think killing strangers will somehow help) can and do kill parade attendees, movie goers, concert attendees, grocery shoppers, school teachers and school children. Enough!! The worry about a defenseless military is to indulge in maximum ignorance. There are several businesses that make a good profit from our military, which is why President Eisenhower warned about the military-industrial complex upon his departure from office. Senior officers in the military receive training about how to make money after retirement, from consulting gigs, board seats, tv commentator jobs and more. That complex is alive and well in this country. Those who try to take advantage of those sick young men for profit are the real un-Americans.
