The Economic Development Corp. of ElkhartCounty has persuaded long-time WhitleyCounty development leader Dorinda Heiden to become its new president.
The Elkhart organization approached her because she has close ties to the area of north-central Indiana and has built a strong track record in WhitleyCounty.
Heiden attracted $1 billion of investment to the largely rural county west of Fort Wayne, according to The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne.
