Circle Centre arcade reopens under new ownership

April 20, 2010

The Tilt Family Entertainment chain has bought and reopened the GameWorks arcade on the fourth floor of Circle Centre mall.

Glendale, Calif.-based Sega Entertainment USA Inc., which owned the GameWorks chain, closed the arcade in late March as part of a company-wide restructuring involving seven total GameWorks locations nationwide.

Tilt, owned by Nickels and Dimes Inc. in Carrollton, Texas, plans to remodel the space and bring in 50 new games within the next month.

The 27,400-square-foot arcade and the United Artists Theatre are the only occupants on the fourth floor that once housed several nightclubs, as well as a restaurant and a Ben & Jerry's ice cream parlor
