An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department pilot program meant to help officers collect DNA evidence off guns appears
to be an initial bust. Mold spores growing on swabs used in the program made the majority of them useless as court evidence.
The 20-month program ended in March. The 183 guns were swabbed with the prototype swabs, but 141 came back with mold. Fox59
will have more at 4 p.m.
