Partner

Ice Miller LLP

Olga Voinarevich excels in both litigation and commercial law, so establishing a practice vertical within Ice Miller’s business group that united the two was a natural fit. Her work focuses on risk management strategies, crisis management and commercial agreement work, where she protects clients from business and legal risks by safeguarding their supply chains, securing critical partnerships, and ensuring compliance with ever-changing regulations. “While I do not build state-of-the-art machinery, host internationally renowned entertainment events or develop life-saving medicines, I craft agreements and negotiate terms that help bring all of the above to our communities,” she said. “I smile when I see my client’s product on the shelves and know I helped secure a supply chain that made it possible.” The vertical now spans all Ice Miller offices and continues to expand and grow, both externally and internally. At Ice Miller, Voinarevich also serves on the Women’s Initiative Network and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and is an Indianapolis partner in charge of the firm’s very first formal pro bono program, which was created last year.

Getting here: A role as a summer associate led to work as a litigator at the firm. She later served as corporate counsel for Penske Entertainment Inc. and electric power group Midcontinent Independent System Operator before rejoining Ice Miller.

First job: Mr. Samurai, a small hibachi restaurant in St. Charles, Illinois

Givebacks: Volunteer attorney for Indiana Legal Services, Indianapolis Legal Aid Society, Pro Bono Indiana, National Immigrant Justice Center; member of the pro bono outreach committee for the Indianapolis Bar Association. “Access to legal services can change lives, and I have made it a mission to connect our attorneys with individuals who need critical legal support,” she said. “Giving back in this way reinforces why I chose this profession in the first place: to use my skills to create positive change.”

Influential person: Retired Ice Miller partner Sherry Fabina-Abney. “Whether we were deep in the trenches of a complex litigation or surviving late-night deadlines, she was always leading with strength, kindness and unwavering positivity.”•
