A judge will hear arguments this afternoon to put a gag order in place in a high-profile Carmel assault case. Lawyers for
a former senior member of the Carmel High School basketball team accused of assaulting a freshman teammate will argue for
the order. The defendants want to limit comments made by everyone involved in the case, including lawyers, investigators,
court employees and police. Four members of the team are charged with misdemeanor offenses in the case. Legal analysts say
it's highly unusual for a gag order to be requested in a misdemeanor case.
