Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Opening Night Gala

Sept. 18
Hilbert Circle Theatre

Top-tier pianist Garrick Ohlssohn will be on hand, but the focus will be on new Music Director Krzysztof Urbanski as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra kicks off the first season of the Urbanski era. He’ll be sharing the podium with Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly in a program that includes music by Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Bernstein and more. String trio Time for Three, an ISO favorite, will also appear. The symphony’s regular season actually begins before the gala, with performances Sept. 16 and 17 with Ohlssohn and Urbanski.
