IPL says to expect higher bills

Indianapolis Power & Light Co. customers are being warned to expect higher bills in July because of increased electricity usage. An IPL spokeswoman said the extreme summer heat is to blame. Usage for the average customer is up 20 percent in the last month, she said, and customers are likely to see an increase of about 20 percent on their next bill.
