A mother, her two children, ages 5 and 10, and the family dog escaped a house fire without injury early Friday after being alerted by a good Samaritan. The blaze near Indianapolis Motor Speedway broke out about 12:30 a.m. and caused an estimated $30,000 in damage. A person driving by the home noticed smoke, stopped and banged on the door until the mother awoke.
