Man sentenced for killing teen

A Shelbyville man was sentenced Monday to three and a half years in prison in connection with the December 2011 accidental long-range shooting death of 17-year-old Brandon Spangler. Jason Bagley pleaded guilty in April to criminal recklessness resulting in serious bodily injury. Bagley told authorities he thought the teenager, who was playing paintball with his father and siblings on Bagley’s property, was a coyote.
