  1. Two democrats running to replace a democrat. At least one of the three is honest enough to admit it, but he thinks he’s running for his sister’s slot on the school board.

    1. That’s not what I heard. What I heard was he is concerned the school board will be bushwhacked by the right wing. That brings a lot of divisiveness with it.

    2. I don’t know how anyone can look at what’s going on with the HSE school board and think to themselves … we need that sort of thing to compete for residents and businesses and to make academic outcomes better.

    3. Joe B, I don’t know how anyone can look at IPS, DC, Chicago, Baltimore public schools, etc. and think to themselves … we need that sort of thing to compete for residents and businesses and to make academic outcomes better.

    4. Congratulations on willfully missing the point.

IPS is way too underfunded and busy educating the students that charter schools can exclude to worry about microagressions and chasing off superintendents after one year for questionable reasons.

Ban books? They’re barely able to purchase the books they need. And they’re hamstrung further by a state government that’s determined that they should give away their buildings for nothing … to the donors of those same legislators.

If your defense is “we aren’t IPS”, you’ve already lost. Your competition is Carmel and Zionsville. The HSE school board just doesn’t get the damage they’re doing… unless maybe they’re doing it willfully.

    1. That doesn’t change my point, nor does it have any relevance.

For that matter, what is your point? You going to judge the two school districts next based on the number of dust mops present at each high school?

    2. When is the last time you set foot in and spent time at an IPS school?

I have in the last month. The needs remain stunning.
