The problem with asking (or coercing) employees to rely more heavily on AI tools isn’t so much that the tools are hard to use and their output is highly untrustworthy, it’s that the very concept of these tools undermines the credibility of the worker using them, and devalues the work that’s being requested.

    If the work isn’t valuable, then why is it being assigned – and if the work is valuable, AI has no business being involved.
