  1. I’m sorry… their liquor license got dropped because of a few incidents that mostly occurred outside the bar? By this standard, the bar I used to frequent in Fountain Square should have been shut down years ago. I think this decision was motivated by something else. Also nice to see that a church can just get together and say they don’t like your business, while largely dodging their own tax burden. Typical Christian M.O., looking everywhere but their own shop.

    1. It was not a “few incidents outside the bar” IMPD had a long laundry list of runs for violent crime at a bar that has been open 2 years. If you are suggesting the license was denied because of Racism!, state that instead of a vague reference and a bizarre blame aimed at a church/religion

    2. I do agree that Churches and the non tax paying affiliates pander to the”conservative values crowd”.
However, have you ever been down there to actually see what goes on?
Our police have no control over all of the street racing etc. in this city.
The media ignores it and all you need to do is go out on almost any night and see for your self the take overs of streets, parking lots etc.
Not a racist thing but it is what it is.

    3. Christ Church, the Episcopal cathedral, is the last church in Indy that I would think of that caters to the “conservative values crowd”. Basically it’s a UU church with smells and bells.

  2. It would be nice to have a restaurant/bar at that location, perfect outdoor space and adjacency to the Aloft Hotel. It would be nice if the space could be connected and combined with the hotel.

  3. Not sure how property tax exemptions for churches got mixed into this one…but the subjects are not in the least related.
If you went back over the records of ABC for the past few years, you’d find IMPD and local citizens groups have been trying to have the liquour licenses of problems bars revoked all across the county. Country bars, neighborhood bars, bars on south Meridian in the Wholesale district. It’s not racial, it’s not because a church is nearby. It’s because the bars are problems, posing threats to public safety. Too many guns, too many people carrying them who lack the maturity to walk away.

  4. This isn’t a real business. Basically has no online presence and has changed names multiple times. Cesspool of a business and anyone claiming racism should see the activity that happens at that “business” every weekend.
