    1. Missed the hyperlink … apparently, the Apartment Owners organization is against it. Considering how they pretty much get what they want at the Statehouse, a valid concern… even though a foolish one…

  1. I think that a surface lot tax would do a better job of maximizing downtown spaces than a blanket tax on Mile Square businesses. Land banking is a serious issue downtown; the tax itself would encourage development and the revenue could be used for cleanliness, support services, programming, etc.
